Mauka to Makai: Our Kuleana engages communities statewide, blending in-person events and multimedia platforms to spark conversations and inspire action on the challenges of climate change.

We had a blast at the Kalihi-Palama library with some of our littlest friends! The librarian did a read-aloud about stories about the importance of keeping our sewers clean and the magnitude of caring for our beaches. Keiki left with a book about Oscar and his Sesame Street friends showing young readers that reducing, reusing and recycling lessens their impact on the planet. It was a day full of fun and eco-friendly education.
Mahalo to all of the keiki and family who came out to the annual Parent & Child Fair at Kukui Grove Center on Kauaʻi. Keiki had a chance to participate in a hands-on recycling activity to learn about the importance of creating a healthier environment. They left with a book on climate change and how they can be environmental stewards in their homes and communities.
