In a special 90-minute election doubleheader, INSIGHTS ON PBS HAWAI‘I features two hotly contested primary election contests:

–State Senate District 23 covers the area from Ka‘a‘a‘wa on the Windward side of O‘ahu to Mokulē‘ia on the North Shore. Former State Senator Clayton Hee is trying to get his old job back from the man who succeeded him, Senator Gil Riviere. It is a winner-take-all Democratic Primary.

–The second contest is for Honolulu City Council District VI, Makiki to Moanalua. Three challengers, Tyler Dos Santos-Tam, Ikaika Hussey and Zachary Stoddard are vying to unseat veteran incumbent Carol Fukunaga.
