This is the fourth collaboration between PBS Hawai‘i and Mental Health America of Hawai‘i, who honor the students during the annual Mental Health Awareness & Awards Celebration held in May and showcase the profound healing potential of student storytelling for both creators and audiences alike.
Eighth grader Nikko Roy from ʻĪao Intermediate School on Maui hosts the show, taking viewers behind the scenes of the award ceremony and sharing other poignant narratives from this season that offer insight into how the next generation is confronting mental health challenges.
