Leslie Wilcox talks story with Derek Kurisu, executive vice president of KTA Super Stores on Hawaii Island. Before "buy local, eat local" became a rallying cry, Derek championed food sustainability in Hawaii, while preserving the best traditions and values of the plantation culture he was raised in.
