This is the second in a series of seven special episodes highlighting stories nominated in a particular category of the 2017 HIKI NŌ Awards. This episode presents the nominees for Best Personal Profile, High School Division, including:   –The story of young bipolar artist by students at H.P.

Over the next seven weeks, HIKI NŌ will showcase student video stories that have been nominated for PBS Hawai‘i’s forthcoming HIKI NŌ Awards on March 23. This first episode presents the nominees for Best Personal Profile – Middle School, hosted by Noah Faumuina of Castle High School and Kukui Raymond of Wai‘anae High School.

This is the premiere episode of HIKI NŌ Season 7, and the first in a series of six shows in which each episode focuses on a specific Hawaiian value.   The Hawaiian value for this show is ho’omau, which means to persevere, perpetuate, or continue.

This episode of HIKI NŌ features some of the top stories from the Fall Quarter of the 2014/2015 school year.

Hosted by PBS Hawaii President and CEO Leslie Wilcox and Bank of Hawaii Foundation President Donna Tanoue, this special highlights the schools nominated in the High School Division of the HIKI NŌ AWARDS 2014 and will present the winning High School stories in their entirety.

PBS Hawaiʻi’s statewide student news network HIKI NŌ is launching seven brand-new weekly episodes that feature Hawai`i-student reflections on their lives in the COVID-19 era.

Students from Hawai‘i schools are fresh off of winning 30 awards at the Student Television Network (STN) Convention, an annual, national student media conference.

A father-daughter relationship of the “tough love” kind will be featured on HIKI NŌ, Thurs., Jan. 28 at 7:30 pm on PBS Hawaiʻi.
