PBS Hawaii presents the broadcast premiere of Life Begins at 80...And the Music Never Ends: An Evening With Joy Abbott and Betty Loo Taylor on Monday, September 16 at 7:30 pm. The singer and jazz pianist perform classics and standards for this production, which features a cameo performance by jazz vocalist Jimmy Borges.

Joy Abbott and Betty Loo Taylor collaborated professionally in 2008 to record For All We Know, which won a Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Jazz Album of the Year.

Joy Abbott divides her time between homes on the continent and Honolulu. She is the widow of the late Broadway producer and director, George Abbott.

Betty Loo Taylor is a legendary jazz pianist who has accompanied many of Hawaii's notable performers including Borges. PBS Hawaii in 2004 aired an independently-produced documentary, They Call Her Lady fingers: The Betty Loo Taylor Story.
