Emma Veary, the Golden Voice of Hawaii, returns to the PBS Hawaii airwaves for the television premiere of Hawaiian Airlines Presents Na Mele:Emma Veary at Halekulani.

PBS Hawaii cameras recorded in April a one time performance of the celebrated vocalist at Halekulani's House Without A Key, the elegant venue where Emma headlined forty years ago. The magical evening recaptured the golden age of Waikiki as Emma performed the original songlist of her 1970s show. According to jazz vocalist and PBS Hawaii Board Director Jimmy Borges, the 81-year-old's beautiful voice was "as sweet, pitch-perfect and lovely as ever."

Accompanied by virtuoso pianist Randy Hongo, Emma performed some songs with daughter Robyn Kneubuhl, a composer, singer, dancer; and harpist Nyle Hallman. Emma's rendition of Robyn's "Pua Pakalana" brought second daughter K. Noelani Bennette onstage to join her sister in hula. Veteran entertainers Roland and Robert Cazimero, Nina Keali`iwahamana, Beverly Noa and Tony Conjugacion honored Emma with tributes and onstage performances and Borges also sang a final musical tribute.
