INSIGHTS ON PBS HAWAI‘I
No Ordinary Year: Are We Better Prepared for the Next Time?

November 2015: Dengue Fever outbreak – Hawai‘i County
March 2016: Zika alert – Statewide
June 2016: Hepatitis A outbreak – O‘ahu

During public health investigations, people want answers, action and results delivered in rapid succession. But the actual process is slow, tedious and not always a sure thing. How would you rate the response from the State’s Disease Outbreak team? What did we learn? And are we better prepared for the next time?
